It is with regret that I must inform you that as of Friday the 8th January, the Escape ceased trading.
It was after receiving expert advice and much discussion that the Welfare Fund Executive Council made the decision to close the pub. Regrettably the business was continuing to run at a substantial loss, with no future prospects of this changing. Accordingly the Executive Council felt that the Fund could not continue to subsidise a business where there was no prospect of significant improvements.
The Welfare Fund apologises for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you for your previous patronage.
